Communication just leveled up in DunkVerse! Our all-new voice chat beta is now live for testing in 3v3 matches. You can now coordinate plays, call for screens, or just hype up your squad—all through real-time proximity voice. This is the first step toward deeper team dynamics and smoother in-game strategy.
The voice system currently supports open mic within a limited range, meaning only players within audible proximity on the court will hear each other. This keeps communication more realistic and situational—perfect for clutch alley-oops, last-second switches, or even some healthy trash talk (within reason, of course).
“Finally, I don’t need to spam emotes to get a pick-and-roll going. This changes the whole flow of the game.” – Alex ‘TrapGuard’ Ellis
This beta rollout is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be collecting your feedback on audio clarity, push-to-talk options, mic sensitivity, and preferred controls. The current test is limited to Quick Play 3v3 but will expand to Ranked and Crew modes once stability is confirmed.
To try it out, simply join a 3v3 match with voice enabled in settings. You’ll see an icon above nearby players who are speaking, and you can mute or report directly from the scoreboard if needed. We’ve implemented early safeguards for toxicity and will be fine-tuning moderation tools based on your reports.
Our goal is to make voice chat not just functional but fun. So warm up your mic, test those callouts, and let us know what works—and what doesn’t. Your input will directly influence how the final global version rolls out later this year.
